APARTMENT L.A

Apartment LA design concept revolves around a harmonious blend of modern minimalism, artistic flair, and a captivating centerpiece. In the living room, some spectacular birch trees take center stage, infusing the space with a sense of nature and serenity. These striking trees not only add a touch of organic beauty but also serve as a conversation piece, creating a truly memorable and captivating atmosphere.

Complementing the birch trees, the overall design features clean lines, sleek finishes, and a a white backgound (as a convas created by the walls and floor) where colors can pop. The open-plan layout maximizes the available space, promoting a sense of openness and fluidity. The living area showcases comfortable yet chic furnishings, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for relaxation and socializing. A mix of textures and colours, adds depth and visual interest to the space.

The apartment LA is designed for a maximum of two people, as it is very intimate due to the glass doors leading to the bedroom and bathroom, as well as the limited storage spaces. “We aimed for transparency and the merging of spaces, and we believed that glass doors would provide privacy to the entire apartment rather than individual rooms.”

In the conceptual phase the inspiration came from the Bauhaus style, incorporating simple geometric shapes, straight lines, rounded corners, and contrasting elements, particularly in the living area. However, as the work progressed, the design started to lean more towards Scandinavian and minimalist styles.
